The objective was to create an energy efficient solution capable of supporting new operations while also allowing for future expansion through resilient systems. Arvato required a partner who could deliver this solution within a tight 10 week timeframe whilst adhering to strict authorisation and privacy protocols. It was essential that all compliance requirements were met without exceeding the project budget and scope. 

During the initial design phase, INFINITI collaborated closely with the Arvato IT team to develop an energy efficient solution. This partnership was built on INFINITI's established track record in delivering innovative designs and resilient data centre installations. Following the proposal submission late 2024, Arvato awarded INFINITI the design and build contract with site mobilisation commencing as early as February 2025.

Challenges

This data centre design and build project provided several challenges that required INFINITI to navigate and overcome throughout the installation. INFINITI was required to work within an active operational environment where safety, minimal disruption and coordination with onsite staff were paramount. All works had to be carefully planned and executed around site works to avoid impacting Arvato’s ongoing warehouse operations. 

A key challenge was the tight 10 week timeframe, which required precise scheduling and efficient deployment of resources to ensure the facility would be ready for the client’s planned service migration. INFINITI had to ensure that each phase of the build progressed without delay, leaving no margin for error or setbacks. The deployment of skilled resources had to be carefully coordinated to maintain momentum and ensure that all contractors were working seamlessly together on site. Maintaining this pace while adhering to strict compliance, security protocols and standards demanded close collaboration between all teams involved.
