Power & Cooling
Managing power and cooling within these environments is vital to ensure the stability of the data centre facility. High density data centers are generally cooled utilising technologies such as direct cabinet cooling and rear door cooling systems intagrated with chillers and dry air coolers
Both cooling technologies offer multiple features & benefits from both energy efficiency and performance perspective, so selection of appropriate solutions is very much determined on the hardware & applications that are being supported in the server cabinets or racks.
Network Infrastructure
Supporting multiple high densities of Blade's and HPC’s in server cabinets creates issues with data cabling as the sheer quantity of copper links can exceed over 250 UTP ports. Selecting the correct network switch architecture, data cabling and management systems are vital to ensure sufficient air flow through the cabinets.
